Ring in the summer with a worldwide day of music. On June 21, celebrate Make Music Georgetown and enjoy live music across town. This is a free, all-ages, all-inclusive event. Anyone can participate!
Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, Make Music Day is celebrated each year on the summer solstice in more than 1,000 cities in dozens of countries worldwide.
Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone. Every kind of musician, young and old, amateur and professional, and of every musical persuasion. All are invited to share their love of music with friends, neighbors, and visitors.
Let’s celebrate the musician in everyone! Join us on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Later this spring, the Make Music Georgetown site will be updated with a list of the performers and hosts participating throughout Georgetown. Sign up to be a musician or host here.
