You’ll be guided through practices that help you slow down\, tune in\, and connect deeply with a sense of calm and presence. You’ll like this if you’re curious about gentle\, meditative movement\, want to experience the calming effects of flow\, or are looking for a fresh way to connect mind and body. No prior experience necessary; all are welcome! \nPlease bring a mat. We may do some exercises on the ground\, ending in savasana. \nTickets: $35 in advance\, $40 at the door \nABOUT THE FACILITATORS\n \nJosh Liebling is a life-long learner. He enjoys discovering and sharing practices that help people return to a peaceful state that feels like home. For the past 15 years he’s explored many different types of meditation modalities ranging from transcendental meditation and mantra meditation to mindfulness and breathwork. But it was in Qigong that he found a practice that enriched his life so much that he absolutely needed to share its benefits with others. \nHe received his Qigong teaching certifications from Masters Lee Holden\, Robert Peng\, and Ken Cohen. He also works 1-on-1 with clients through personalized Qigong and Daoist Coaching. \nMegan Yee combines her identities as a psychotherapist and violinist to explore the intersection of wellness\, creativity\, and embodied healing. Whether in session with clients or performing with her local community orchestra\, she believes in the transformative power of presence and connection. Music has offered Megan a lifelong source of joy and collaboration. He enjoys discovering and sharing practices that help people return to a peaceful state that feels like home. For the past 15 years he’s explored many different types of meditation modalities ranging from transcendental meditation and mantra meditation to mindfulness and breathwork. But it was in Qigong that he found a practice that enriched his life so much that he absolutely needed to share its benefits with others. \nHe received his Qigong teaching certifications from Masters Lee Holden\, Robert Peng\, and Ken Cohen. He also works 1-on-1 with clients through personalized Qigong and Daoist Coaching. \nMegan Yee combines her identities as a psychotherapist and violinist to explore the intersection of wellness\, creativity\, and embodied healing. Live music from the Granite House Bluegrass band starting at 8 PM\, an easy\, led slow bluegrass jam for beginner and intermediate players starting at 7:30\, and late night jamming open to all. Banjos\, fiddles\, guitars\, dobros\, mandolins\, bass\, and similar acoustic instruments welcome. \nHOSTED BY AUSTIN SCELZO\nAustin Scelzo (Danbury\, CT) first studied various fiddle traditions at Mark O’Connor’s Berklee String Camps and\, over time\, learned all the bluegrass instruments as well as singing and songwriting. During four years as a middle school music teacher\, his bluegrass journey began with performing in CT-based bands and teaching in-person and online. Now full-time in bluegrass\, Austin performs with respected veterans The Rock Hearts and the Americana quartet On the Trail\, teaches jam camps and has created groundbreaking online instruction materials. He has been named Connecticut Arts Hero and nominated as Mentor of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. \nPart of The Granite Bluegrass Series\nBluegrass Nights at The Granite is a recipient of the 2026 IBMA Foundation Project Grant. Soprano Sarah Hawkey and lutenist Kevin Payne present Love’s Arc: Desire and Heartbreak in English Baroque Song\, an intimate afternoon of music by beloved English Baroque composers Henry Purcell\, John Dowland\, and their contemporaries. Tracing love\, passion\, heartbreak\, and grief\, these centuries-old songs feel vividly alive today—inviting listeners to time-travel and experience the enduring emotional resonance of love across centuries. \nAbout the Artists\nSarah Hawkey \nSoprano Sarah Hawkey is known for her ability to make early music feel intimate and alive for today’s audiences. She has performed with the New York Philharmonic and LA Opera\, with appearances at the Salzburg Festival\, the Verbier Festival\, Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival\, the Boston Early Music Festival\, Bard Summerscape\, and in numerous performances at Carnegie Hall. Her work has been featured in The New York Times\, on NPR and WNYC\, and on PBS Great Performances. \nA baroque specialist\, Sarah focuses on 17th- and 18th-century repertoire\, with particular emphasis on the music of Barbara Strozzi\, alongside works by J.S. Bach\, Handel\, and Vivaldi. She is currently preparing her debut solo album devoted entirely to Strozzi’s works. \nSarah also loves performing new classical music and appeared in the original cast of p r i s m\, a world-premiere opera produced by Beth Morrison Projects in collaboration with LA Opera and the PROTOTYPE Festival\, for which composer Ellen Reid was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in Music. \nSarah is the founder of Blossom Voice Studio in Weston\, CT\, and has led educational programs and workshops at The Juilliard School\, Princeton University\, and William Paterson University. \nKevin Payne \nLutenist Kevin Payne is active as a recitalist\, accompanist\, and continuo player. Recent ensemble work includes performances with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra\, Seattle Symphony\, Twelfth Night\, Blue Heron\, Handel and Haydn Society\, and Bach Collegium San Diego. Festival appearances include Caramoor\, Tanglewood\, Spoleto\, and Newport Classical. Performance venues include Carnegie Hall\, Alice Tully Hall\, the Kennedy Center in Washington\, D.C.\, the National Concert Hall in Taipei\, Taiwan\, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam\, and the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden\, Germany.
