DESCRIPTION:Songwriter Sessions with Carrie\nTuesdays in October\, 7:30 – 9:30 PM\nA 4-Part Journey of Growth & Creative Connections \nYou have songs inside you—some half-written\, some humming just beneath the surface. Maybe you’re returning after a creative pause\, unsure where to begin. Maybe you’re actively writing but craving community and feedback. Or maybe you’ve been at it for a while\, but lately\, something’s missing: your spark\, your groove\, your why. \nSongwriter Sessions with Carrie is a four-part workshop series designed to meet you where you are and help you move meaningfully toward where you want to be as an artist. Through a structured blend of group coaching\, guided reflection\, and creative exploration\, you’ll reconnect with your voice\, your vision\, and a circle of fellow songwriters who get it. \nThe series includes three weekly workshops followed by a community showcase in the final week\, where you will have the opportunity to share your work in the warm and welcoming space of The Granite among peers\, friends and our local community. \nIn addition to the group session\, Carrie will invite participants to schedule 1:1 video coaching sessions at a special reduced rate through October. \nFormat: 3 two-hour group workshops + 1 Community Showcase event\nCapacity: Up to 10 participants\nCost: $130 for the series\, $100 Early Registration (by 8/31) \nEach session will include:\n● Group coaching\n● Guided personal reflection\n● Optional sharing and constructive peer feedback\n● Supportive accountability for personal creative goals \nWho is this for?\nThis is designed for emerging\, established and returning songwriters who want to grow as an individual and an artist. It is not a class on the technical aspects of songwriting but rather a transformative coaching experience. \nABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR\nCarrie Linsky (formerly Sangiovanni) co-founder of Caravan of Thieves and Fuzz and Carrie\, is an accomplished singer\, songwriter\, and recording artist. Over the last 25 years she has launched and collaborated on numerous musical projects\, recorded 6 original albums and toured internationally sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Emmylou Harris\, Keb Mo\, The Decemberists and more. \nAlongside her musical career\, Carrie is a certified purpose\, well-being\, and resilience coach. Over the last 8 years she has played a key-role with a non-profit dedicated to delivering purpose-centered coaching through in person programming and a new coaching platform. Blending her deep experience in music with her passion for personal growth\, Carrie continues to inspire others through her artistry and her work helping people discover their purpose and potential.

DESCRIPTION:Bluegrass Jam Class with Austin Scelzo\nMondays\, October 28 – December 16 at 6:30 PM\nAll bluegrass instruments are welcome. No jamming experience is necessary. You will be jamming in the first class! \n\nFriendly\, encouraging\, knowledgeable teaching\nHands-on learning in large and small groups\nGentle tempos! Mistakes expected!\nMusic/tab reading is not needed or used\nSinging is not required\, but encouraged and taught\nSoloing is not required! “Faking” solos taught.\n\nDo you qualify? It’s easier than you may think! \nIf you play guitar\, mandolin\, banjo\, fiddle\, bass\, or dobro\, you can be part of a bluegrass jam. The only requirements: be able to tune your instrument and change smoothly between G\, C\, D\, and A (or the notes that work on bass and fiddle.) \nTuition is $285 for 8 sessions. In 2024\, the Connecticut State Government also named him the 2023 Connecticut Arts Hero\, an award that “celebrates the remarkable contributions of Connecticut residents who have made a profound impact in\, for\, or through the arts.” \nAfter four years as a Darien Public Schools Orchestra teacher\, Austin decided to transition from a creative orchestra teacher to a musical entrepreneur.
