Develop a natural approach to harmony singing using bluegrass\, folk\, and country standards. \nGood three-part vocal harmony can be the most exciting part of bluegrass and folk music. Learn the basic terminology of folk-style harmony singing (Lead\, Tenor\, Baritone)\, how to find your first note\, how to “stay in your lane” and not sing what the person next to you is singing\, and how to blend. \nLearn to sing standards in perfect three-part harmony and develop a natural understanding and approach to harmony singing. During four years as a middle school music teacher\, his bluegrass journey began with performing in CT-based bands and teaching in-person and online. Now full-time in bluegrass\, Austin performs with respected veterans The Rock Hearts and the Americana quartet On the Trail\, teaches jam camps and has created groundbreaking online instruction materials. He has been named Connecticut Arts Hero and nominated as Mentor of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. \nPart of The Granite Bluegrass Series
